We had a workshop at the Nelly Star Hotel and stayed there for 4 nights. The service of the staff was great and the food was okay as well. We stayed at A/C rooms these rooms had ample space and were clean. They also let us keep one room after checkout until our workshop ended that they.
Nelly Star Hotel & Restaurant A very good place for refreshments during a long drive from Batticaloa to Jaffna or Colombo to Jaffna. The interior design is nice and well maintained. I think the hotel has been opened only a few months ago, and everything still looks fresh and clean. The food tastes good and is well prepared. The washrooms are very clean and well maintained, which is very important for travelers. Overall, a comfortable stop for drivers and families. Highly recommended.
I ordered Chicken Kottu, Indian Chicken Kottu, Naan Rotti, and Prawns Biriyani. The food was overall good — the kottu and naan were really tasty and well-prepared. Personally, I didn’t like the Prawns Biriyani, but my friends enjoyed it a lot. The service and packaging were also nice.
Prices are being fair, service persons are being friendly and they are providing good services. Also they have an enough parking space.
One of good person working in nelli star vavuniya he is name thiyagaraj he help to me for food arrangements and all because when my husband at there he is not well so raj very good person and helping person . Nelly star hotel is a great place, super clean rooms, A/C worked very well, very friendly and service minded staff, always staffed and needs are met immediately,no outside noise, super clean bathroom and for the location very fair price, downstairs restaurant serves up great food too,so you can eat variety of food and can host small parties.. highly recommended hotel.
This hotel is comparatively ok. Rooms are quite lager than rooms of other hotels in the town. We got a tribal room which was bit smelly in the bathroom. Then hotel staff changed the room to better one which was excellent. It has two lager double beds and one single bed. Restaurant is available in the ground floor. There is a small swimming pool too. Bathroom has hot water.
